Aamir gets emotional at 11th Golapudi Srinivas awards

Chennai: Aamir Khan did what he rarely does, he was in Chennai on Tuesday to receive the 11th Golapudi Srinivas award for his film Taare Zameen Par. But the ceremony was not only about this, an emotional Aamir couldn’t stop himself from crying after receiving the award.

Aamir thanked all his fans for supporting him and appreciating his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par.

Aamir got emotional after he was appreciated by veteran filmmaker K Balachander. He said that he had lost faith in films until Aamir’s was released.

Aamir’s movie was chosen from a list of 19 nominations. Taare Zameen Par is the first Hindi movie to have ever won this award. And, therefore as a filmmaker Aamri had some reason to have tears of joy.
