But if it was an awakening of sorts, then it’s just reached another level.
The actor is now hosting a new show on Star One set to credit everyday heroes.
Rang De Basanti Salaam debuts on October 2 and has a very serious Aamir showcasing heroics by everyday people who have made a difference to society.
Entries to feature in the show are accepted via SMS and mail sent by the public.
Inspired by Rang De Basanti, the show is produced by television actress Urvashi Dholakia.
