Aamir Khan to meet PM on manual scavengers issue

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tomorrow to highlight concerns of manual scavengers engaged in cleaning excreta.

"We had sought an appointment with the Prime Minister and Aamir would be meeting him tomorrow morning," said the actor's spokesperson.

His show raises one social issue in every episode and different aspects of problems like female foeticide, child sexual abuse and domestic violence have been discussed.

Last month, Aamir had made a presentation before a parliamentary panel on FDI in the pharmaceutical sector, after his show spoke about malpractices in the medical profession.
