Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan recently made a public appearance with his nephew Imran Khan to launch the music of Imran's debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
Aamir was indeed in the spotlight at the event, and certainly hogged all the attention, with or without his nephew.
Like his previous films, this time too, he made sure that he got the blessings from the actor whom he considers his lucky mascot, veteran actor Shammi Kapoor.
Aamir Khan, Actor " This is Imran's first film, so we've come to Shammi uncle to seek his blessings, as he proved to be my lucky mascot."
Aamir then promptly went into an apology mode for his digs at Shah Rukh Khan on his blog.
"My sincere apologies to those people who were uncomfortable with the post and also to anyone's fans who I've upset because of the blog. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he is a dear friend and there is no misunderstanding between us," says Aamir.
Aamir also cleared the air about allegedly making fun of rival Salman Khan in the new song Pappu can't dance.
Pappu can't dance is certainly not on Salman, in fact I think Salman dances really well. I wolud even say he dances better than me. Therefore the song is not meant to target Salman," says Aamir.
Music for the film has been composed by music maestro A R Rahman.
When asked, how much does the perfectionist rate his own nephew? He’s quick to reply " I'm a very strict person so I will rate him at a six."
Here's hoping Imran gets a better rating from the audience
