Mumbai: The music release of Taarein Zamee Par was a rather private affair. Aamir Khan along with the music directors and lyricist turned up at veteran actor, Shammi Kapoor's residence to launch the album.
Why Shammi Kapoor's residence? Because as actor-turned-director Aamir Khan puts it, "I just came here to meet Shammi uncle. I have worked as an assistant director with Nasir Hussain and he and Shammi Kapoor were great friends. I felt that I needed Shammi uncle's blessings."
However, as usual, Aamir was reluctant to reveal much about the film, but as far as the music is concerned, the perfectionist in him has done the job.
Music director Ehsaan — of the Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy trio — testifies to this fact saying that Aamir had wanted no compromise as far as the music was concerned.
Adds music director Shankar, "You can't expect anything less than that when you are working with Aamir Khan."
And Aamir on his part is extremely satisfied with the way the tunes have shaped up. "You should hear the music," is all he has to say.
Well, the audiences won't have to wait much for that since the album will be out at a store near them from Friday onwards.
