Aamir to be awarded Golapudi Srinivas award for TZP

Chennai: It is yet another award for Aamir Khan as now he has been awarded with the prestigious Golapudi Srinivas award for the best debutant director for Taare Zameen Par.

Appreciation & awards for Taare Zammen Par just don’t seem to stop. Bollywood star Amir Khan is in Chennai to recieve the 11th Golapudi Srinivas Award.

The filmmaker was chosen from a list of 19 nominations and incidentally it is also the first Hindi film to ever win this award.

Though there is a self-imposed ban on Aamir attending award function, the actor says that he respects this award unlike many other awards and therefore he is in Chennai.

After recently releasing the DVD of Taare Zameen Par, the actor also revealed that the film will be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.

Aamir said that for the Tamil version actor Surya has been chosen to voice the film. And is it true that the actor will be teaming with Salman Khan yet again for the sequel of the comic caper Andaz Apna Apna

“The idea is there. If someone approaches I am willing to do so,” Aamir maintains.

In the meanwhile, the brand ambassador of Incredible India also comments on India’s first Olympic gold medal.

“With all respect to team sports, I think individual gold medal is a big deal,” says Aamir.

The 11th Golapudi Srinivas Award.will take place in Chennai on Tuesday .
