New Delhi: The trial in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case will begin from May 11 with the Ghaziabad court on Wednesday transferred the case to the sessions court. The court also rejected dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar's counsel's contention that the documents provided by the CBI weren't enough.
Sources said that the basic contention of the Talwars’ was over five phone numbers related to the case. Talwars' counsel gave the court five numbers and wanted call record of these numbers. However, the CBI said that their closure report was not based on these call records, hence they cannot provide it to them.
Meanwhile, Nupur Talwar's bail plea and the review petition of the Talwars will also come up in the Supreme Court. In a new twist, Additional Solicitor General Haren Raval, who was representing the CBI in the Supreme Court has withdrawn from the case. This came after Justice Patnaik had pulled him up for trying to threaten the court.
Nupur Talwar has been in jail for 10 days. Earlier, Nupur Talwar on May 4 told the Supreme Court that there were several inconsistencies in the CBI investigation in the Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder case in which she is an accused.
