New Delhi: Yet another thriller from the house of Abbas-Mastan is ready for a July release. And like always the filmmaker duo have stuck to their usual tried and tested formula.
Known as the masters of Bollywood thrillers Abaas-Mustan’s latest film Naqaab stars Akshaye Khanna, Bobby Deol and newcomer Urvashi Sharma. Though their last film 36 Chinatown failed to hit the bulls’ eye at the box office, the directors are confident of recreating the same magic as they did in 2002's surprise hit Humraaz.
“We are very confident. The pair of Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol worked in Humraaz. We are hoping that it will work this time also,” says Mustan.
Both Akshay and Bobby are hoping badly for box office success. Like their previous films, this too, promises to be a romantic racy thriller full of surprises. The director duo is also doing one more multi-starrer film Race this year. CNN-IBN met them on the sets and found out that even their dress code is still the same—all white, from top to toe.
“Most people are usually in a dilemma choosing their dress colours. Like you wonder whether to wear green, or of you wear something in blue tomorrow then you cant reoeat it the next day. But for us there’s no such dilemmas,” said the director duo.
“All our dresses are marked as "M" or "A" or "H"—that’s the name initials of all of our brothers. There is no confusion,” added Mustan.
Well, the funny theory about white and the great success formula for a thriller—Abbas Mustan cant go wrong for sure.
