Mumbai: Gangster Abu Salem was attacked by Dawood Ibrahim's henchman Mustafa Dossa in Arthur Road Jail on Saturday. Salem got minor injures on his face.
A fight took place between Dossa and Salem inside jail though the reason behind this is not known yet.
An alleged extortionist Salem was born in Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh and is convicted for the 1993 serial blasts case in Mumbai. He is also facing trial in the murder of music baron Gulshan Kumar in 1997.
Salem has been at the jail since his extradition from Portugal in 2005, and is awaiting court verdicts in two cases. Mustafa Dossa is an associate of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahaim and is also an accused in the separate 1993 serial bomb blasts.
