KOCHI: The ongoing national executive council of the ABVP here discussed various issues confronted by the country’s education sector.
On Friday, three resolutions were discussed at the council meet. The first one,presented by national general secretary Umesh Dutt, dealt with the pros and cons of the existing educational system. The second one put forth by national secretary Anil Kumar deliberated on the educational trends prevailing at the national level. A special resolution on the lack of educational opportunities and spiralling unemployment in the Northeastern states and the security threats faced by the students there was presented by Hari Borikar.
“The conclave also assessed the reports filed by the study wings of the organisation after conducting surveys in the northeastern states,” said ABVP national secretary Sreerang Kulkarni. A report on national-level activities and agitations carried out by the organisation were mentioned in the organisational report presented at the meet.
