Kolkata: Anil Sarogi, brother-in-law of prime accused in the Rizwanur Rehman death case Ashok Todi, was on Thursday granted bail by a city court.
Chief Judge, City Sessions Court, Murari Mohan Ghosh granted bail to Sarogi on a bond of Rs 20,000 with two sureties.
Sarogi had surrendered in the CBI designated court on December 8 following a Supreme Court directive and had been remanded to judicial custody till December 12.
Pradip Todi, brother of Ashok, the main accused, and Anil Sarogi have been charged with abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation and conspiracy in the case.
Another accused Mohammed Moiuddin alias Pappu, who hadacted as a facilitator, was in judicial custody since October 27.
Rizwanur, according to CBI, committed suicide a month after his marriage to Ashok's daughter Priyanka. Rizwanur's body was found near a railway track on September 21.
Ashok had surrendered on December one. He was remanded to judicial custody till December 12.
