ADAG employees cleared in Borge's death case

Press Trust Of India

Mumbai: Giving a clean chit to three Anil Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) employees, the police on Monday said Bharat Borge's mysterious death is being treated as an accident as murder or suicide is ruled out.

Based on the statements of witnesses in the case, Borge's death is being treated as an accident since the possibilities of murder and suicide have been ruled out, said ACP (GRP) Prakash Sawant.

"However, investigations are still on," he said.

"We are not treating the case as (one of) suicide since we have not found any indication that Borge planned to take his own life. He had even told his sister that he would visit his family in Satara on May 7," he said.

Three Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group employees, who were interrogated by the police, were found to be innocent, he said.

Borge, a technician with Air Works, was the first to spot pebbles in Anil Ambani's helicopter. He was given a clean chit by the crime branch in the alleged sabotage case. In a mysterious turn of events, on April 28 he was found dead near the railway tracks in suburban Andheri.
