Bangalore: With the General Elections nearing innovative ways are being used to woo voters and especially the young voters.

Following the same path, Bangalore’s popular rock band Thermal and a Quarter had joined hands with the Jaago re campaign and now their latest single is called Shut up and vote.

The band will now be performing across five cities in the country to urge the youngsters to just Shut up and vote so that they can make a difference.

“As a rock star we're used to entertaining people. And if you can mix entertainment and a message it can be more powerful. That is the plan and we are hoping it will work,” says the lead vocalist of Thermal and a Quarter, Bruce Lee Mani.

With the election fever gripping the nation, the Jaago re campaign hopes that the rock videos like this will get youngsters out to vote.

So far the campaign already has more than 4.3 lakh registered members across 37 cities. But the worry for the Jaago re campaign is whether the youngsters will actually get up and vote.

“I haven't voted so far but now with this campaign, I'm going to make a change and vote,” adds Mani.

So instead of complaining about how the system is pathetic, all that one needs to do is shut up and vote.
