New Delhi: In yet another shameful and shocking incident of corporal punishment, a class 9 student was allegedly forced to drink urine and severely beaten up at his hostel by three teachers in Tamil Nadu.
The alleged incident took place within the hostel premises, when the boy wanted to take a bathroom break.
The student has been admitted to the Kumbakonam hospital in Perambalur in Tamil Nadu.
This is the second incident of corporal punishment reported in less then a fortnight.
Earlier, a 10-year-old girl was forced to lick her own urine by the warden at Visva-Bharati University in Shantiniketan in West Bengal.
