At least 18 Indian Army jawans have been killed in two deadly avalanches in Jammu and Kashmir. The first avalanche hit the soldiers at the High Altitude Warfare School. In a bold and drastic new plan to bring down sugar prices the Union Government is proposing a ban on the use of domestic sugar by industry. According to the new plan sweets makers, soft drink makers, ice cream manufacturers, chocolate companies and biscuit makers will have to import sugar for their products.
