Bangalore: Low-cost carrier Air Deccan founder Capt G R Gopinath will contest the Lok Sabha 2009 elections.
Gopinath, a pioneer of low-cost air travel, is likely to contest the polls from one of the constituencies in Bangalore, sources say.
However, it was not clear whether he would contest on a party's ticket or as an independent.
He is expected to make an announcement later on Thursday.
