Air India announces up to 70 pc cuts on select routes

New Delhi: Government-owned Air India has introduced special fares which are up to 70 per cent cheaper on select routes.

These fares have been introduced especially for the holiday season to boost demand.

The new fares will be applicable on 35 select routes from metros to tier two and tier three cities.

So if one books 10 days in advance, pay as low as Rs 2694 all inclusive.

Book 20 days in advance and pay as low as Rs 2494 all inclusive.

The special fares are valid till June 30.

The announcement comes after competing airlines Jet Airways and Kingfisher increase their fares last week by eight per cent to tide over the hike in fuel prices.
