HYDERABAD: The Central Training Establishment (CTE) at Hyderabad has inducted a brand new CAE 7000 series Level ‘D’ A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) based on Airbus Standard compatible with Air India’s current fleet of Airbus family of aircrafts A319/A320/A321.
The Simulator with a state-of-the-art all-electric motion system provides more accurate and authentic cues for pilot training and is environment friendly than hydraulic-based motion systems. It also consumes less energy, thereby decreasing overall simulator operating costs. The simulator is equipped with 210 x 40 degrees visual system with Liquid Crystal on Silicon projectors, the latest technology in visual scenes. The new simulator also features a two Engine model, the engines being used in our current fleet of Airbus family aircrafts. The equipment will be operational for training purpose by end of July 2012 after due testing and certification.
