Ajmer: In a big breakthrough in the Ajmer blasts of 2007, The Rajasthan ATS claimed to have recovered the vehicle which was used to transport explosives for the blasts at the Ajmer Dargah that killed two people.
ATS sources said Sunil Joshi of the RSS who was allegedly murdered by his co-conspirator Anand Raj Kataria, transported the explosives along with Kataria himself and Harshad Solanki from Indore to Godhra.
The car incidentally belongs to Kataria. He had reportedly sold off the car after the blasts. The interrogation of Harshad Solanki, in ATS custody since October, helped them trace the car.
From Godhra the explosives were reportedly taken by bus to Ajmer by Mukesh, Bhavesh Patel, Sunny, Mehul Kumar and Suresh, all fresh names to have emerged from the Ajmer blasts investigation.
Mukesh is in the custody of the ATS while the search for the rest is on
Like in case of the Hyderabad blasts the fact that the explosives in the Ajmer blasts as well were brought from MP is yet another consolidation to the investigative agencies of the links between these blasts and their perpetrators.
Already the CBI has questioned RSS leader Indresh Kumar in connection with the blasts. The Rajasthan ATS is also set to question Swami Aseemanand, another key accused, after it produces him before the Ajmer court. It is hoping that these fresh leads and the forthcoming interrogation of key suspects will add momentum to the investigations.
