Akshay and Deepika recently attended the film's music launch where the two spoke about their characters.
Chandni Chowk to China revolves around Old Delhi resident Sidhu who is mistaken for a lost Chinese warrior. And Akshay believes this wild story is semi-autobiographical.
"It's like my journey, my journey from Chandni Chowk to Bangkok. It was the same struggle," said Akshay.
The leading lady of the film Deepika Padukone plays a double role once again after her debut film Om Shanti Om.
"My one character is of an Indian girl and the other is of this girl brought up in China," disclosed Deepika.
The music launch of the Chandni Chowk to China was deliberately kept low key.
However, the high point of the sound track appears to be a rap song by the Khiladi himself declaring him to be numero uno.
"What I meant was if I can become an actor even others can, I want to give out that message to everyone," added Akshay.
Here's hoping the self made superstar continues his winning run from Chandni Chowk to Bangkok and now at the box office.
