Akshay Kumar to produce and act in 'Oh My God'

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar, who has launched a new production company with Ashwini Yardi, is all set to act and produce 'OMG (Oh My God)'.

'OMG' is adapted from the critically acclaimed Gujarati play, 'Kanji Virrudh Kanji' and tells a story of an atheist who incurs huge loses when his antique shop is destroyed by an earthquake.

The film will see Akshay and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. Rawal has also acted in the original play and decided to adapt it for the big screen with the help of his 'Hera Pheri' co-star.

The actor is all set to act and produce \'OMG (Oh My God)\'

Kumar collaborated with Yardi, head of programming for Colors channel, to start the production house Grazing Goat pictures.

The 44-year-old has previously produced films like 'Singh Is Kinng', 'Tees Maar Khan' and 'Action Replayy', under his production house Hari Om Productions.

'Kanji Virrudh Kanji' was an instant when it was staged in December 2009 with more than 400 shows. It was launched in Hindi with title 'Kishen vs Kaniya'.

The play was also staged in New York in 2010.
