So much so, that he jumps across buildings and roadways to grab his last Thumbs Up.
Though this stunt wasn't even remotely close to the hair-raising action shown in the soft drink commercial, his fans loved it nonetheless.
"We heard that he was jumping from a 90-feet height, but he came down in a rope. It was a surprise,†said one of his fan’s, Suvankar.
"It was really great. Akshay was damn cool,†said another fan, Priya.
Doubtless, there were fanatics among the crowd whose disappointment at not being able to get closer to their hero was apparent.
And even as Akshay stood on terra firma after sliding down from a Kolkata shopping mall rooftop 90 feet high, it's perhaps the right time to warn… don't try this at home.
