Mumbai: The second Panch Tatva Festival in Mumbai saw two veteran artistes singer Asha Bhosle and Kathak exponent Pandit Birju Maharaj come together.
The duo made a song and dance about coming together at Kalashram's second Panch Tatva Festival.
Quite a fan of Kathak herself Asha tai is making sure that her six-year-old granddaughter Zanai learns Kathak. And the she believes that singers too dance with their voices.
"The style and attitude that Maharaj ji has in his dance I have incorporated it in my voice," she says.
As for Pandit Birju Maharaj, he felt that the two art forms often influence each other. "There is a kind of a give and take. If she's influenced by my dance and then I too am moved by her voice," he says.
And if there is one thing that this legendary singer still wishes to explore, it's her hidden zest for classical dancing. "I wish I could dance," she adds.
