Mumbai: The makers of the Salman Khan starer Veer are raring to go as the film's historic set is finally complete.
Walking into the sets of the film feels like walking into a different era.
Set during the turn of the twentieth century, this set is an attempt to recreate a time which feels long gone. And if rumours are to be believed it's one of the most expensive sets till date.
Well, the makers didn't reveal how much money was spent, but they did get talking on what went into creating this temporary grandeur.
"My director and art director traveled to Rajasthan to study the architecture of that era and when they came back with all the details they erected this set in mere 45- 50 days," said producer Vijay Galani.
"We did a lot of research on the kind of set we wanted. A lot of photographs were taken during the process of research, then we made various models and then we decided to construct it," said director Anil Sharma.
Erected in Mumbai's Film city by art director Sanjay Dhabade, the set spreads over 10 acres of land with nearly 400 workers working on it. The producers felt it was a better bet than hunting for location of their choice.
"We needed huge corridors, huge bed rooms huge palaces and it was not possible to to get it in Rajasthan so we created this set to give us that comfort," said Galani.
While the film's shooting begins at the end of the month, the warrior Khan who plays a prince in the film will make good use of his temporary home.
