New Delhi: National Security Advisor MK Narayanan has said that the al-Qaeda poses a real danger to India.
In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, Narayanan said that the al-Qaeda is looking for an opportunity to strike in India and has even done a recce for it.
Following are excerpts from the interview:
MK Narayanan: We are concerned. We are all the time on the lookout for al-Qaeda's movements here. We know that on a couple of occasions they have done a recce and gone back, they have not yet done something which...
Karan Thapar: I am interrupting, you know that al-Qaeda has come to India to do recces?
MK Narayanan: There was a team that had come once to India and done a recce and gone back, but the programme they had never worked out. But when I say this - what is the Lashkar-e-Toiba, the LeT is an integral part of al-Qaeda. So in one sense you can always say that the al-Qaeda is always present.
