Mumbai: Irrfan is no newbie to Hollywood films. His new project 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is all set to hit the marquee and after this, he will start working on his next film, 'The Life of Pi'.
Incidentally, sources say that the actor is being very careful about the manner in which he promotes his films. Especially, because he doesn't want to do what Anil Kapoor did a year ago.
Sources close to the actor say, "Irrfan has been trying to play it safe with the promotions of his latest superhero film. The reason attributed for this is Anil Kapoor's act during the promotions of 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol'. He had a minuscule role in the film but he went all out to promote it. Once the audience saw him in the film, he received a lot of flak for what he had done."
Sources say that Irrfan had asked for a special screening of the film to find out the actual length of his role.
Our sources say that Irrfan had actually asked for a special screening of the film to find out the actual length of his role in it. Only after watching it, did he agree to promote the film.
The source adds, "In fact, director Marc Webb has really liked his work in the film and has been assuring others that the actor would clinch even better roles in the times to come."
