Bangalore Amazon.com Inc on Friday announced the opening of a software development centre in Chennai to focus on developing new and innovative website features to help its customers around the world find and discover anything they want to buy online.
The Chennai centre would manage all technology aspects of the website features developed at this location, the company official said.
This includes idea generation, analysis and technical design, as well as front, middle and back-tier software development across a variety of architectures and technologies.
Other Amazon development centres were in Bangalore, Edinburgh and Cape Town.
