Director Karu Palaniappan, who is known for films like 'Parthiban Kanavu' and 'Mandhira Punnagai', is busy giving the final touches to the script of his upcoming flick 'Paandiya Vamsam'.
The filmmaker has cast director-actor Ameer and actor Rajkiran to play the titular roles of the film. While the director is not in town and not available for his comment, a reliable source informed City Express that the film will go on floors after Ameer is done with 'Aadhi Bhagavan'.
Ameer had earlier signed on to play an important role in director Bharathiraja’s 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'. Later ,it was reported that the actor was not in the movie. Though it has been stated that the reason for this is that Bharathiraja is busy remaking 'Bommalattam' in Hollywood, it was also said that the filmmaker and Ameer had a rift over the FEFSI employees wages issue.

The filmmaker has cast director-actor Ameer and actor Rajkiran to play the titular roles of the film.
Ameer now has taken up Karu Palaniappan’s project. Actor Rajkiran, who is remembered for his roles in 'Nandha' and 'Sandakozhi', is on board as well.
It was earlier announced that Karupalaniappan would direct Ashokamithran for Mohana Movies with actor Arulnidhi in the lead, but the project was later dropped for reasons unknown.
