Ammonia leak creates panic

KOCHI: The leakage in an ammonia plant near Edakochi on Thursday evening created panic among the residents in the area.

According to the police, the plant has been nonfunctional for a long time and on Thursday it was opened for testing. However, the leakage caused panic among the residents and some people reportedly fell ill. The Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the spot and the leakage was closed.
