Swansea: Retired England allrounder Andrew Flintoff was lucky to escape a major car crash on Monday when he lost control of the Citroen DS3 while shooting for the TV sports show A league of their Own, where he had rally star Kris Meeker as his co-driver - The Sun reported.
Flintoff, who is known for his Ashes exploits, hit a tree at the Walters Arena Motorsport Complex in Swansea where the show was being shot; however, he and Meeker escaped unhurt, which was confirmed by the paramedics who examined both after the accident.
"It's a testament to the strength of the car's rollcage that I wasn't hurt," Flintoff said afterwards.
Freddie, as Flintoff is popularly know, was filming with his co-stars Jack Whitehall, Jamie Redknapp, James Corden and Jimmy Carr on the show, The Sun reported.
