New Delhi: Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office V Narayanasamy on Monday said that anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare was being misled by his supporters.
Speaking to IBN18 Editor-in-Chief Rajdeep Sardesai Narayanasamy also alleged that the government was being targetted by some people with the aim of destabilising it.
Narayanasamy said, "Anna Hazare is a simple man and he is being misled by some elements, that's what I said. And apart from that I would like to say, you can see for the last several months, unfounded allegations, untrue allegations are being made. Attacks are being made on the Prime Minister and the cabinet ministers. There is a government which has been functioning in a transparent manner. Wherever corruption took place action was taken, wherever the transparency is required it has been done, wherever legislature is required for preventing corruption legislations have been brought before Parliament. Our government is being targetted by some people with the design of destabilising the government."
Narayanasamy had earlier said, "Anna Hazare is surrounded by anti-national elements and supported by a foreign hand."
