Click to play videoMeerut: It was a real life story that seemed to have been lifted straight out of bollywood - a husband who said his wife would now become his sister just so that she could be reunited with her estranged lover. Nitish Tyagi, a resident of Meerut made his wife Aarti tie him a rakhi on May 6 after he found out that she was already in love with Vineet.
But in a bizarre turn of events, Vineet's family has now said Vineet and Aarti were never a couple and say the girl's family is putting pressure on them.
Aarti has returned to her parents' home now but her family says Nitish's decision to make Aarti his sister was all a plot to get her to leave his home. They now want the couple to reunite as husband and wife.
Aarti's mother said, "If he could first make her a sister, he can also make the sister hs wife."
Aarti said, "I will live only with Vineet, no one else."
Aarti though still insists that she will only live with Vineet but with Vineet yet to come forward and accept Aarti as his wife this is one love story that will probably not end with 'and they lived happily ever after'.
