Paras: We have got Anoushka Shankar exploring her wild side today.
Anoushka: Yes, that is right but it is for a good cause.
Paras: Your outfit looks fantastic but I am guessing that this is something that you don't wear everyday.
Anoushka: No, it's not my daily wear. But it is not that bad, is it? Well, they put me on a tree and made me wear this suit to show that a tiger belongs in the wild and not in a zoo. It is a campaign against cruelty in zoos.
Paras: So did you get to hang around in the forests as a child and enjoy nature?
Anoushka: Well, I fell from trees a lot as a kid.
Paras: After animal issues let’s get down to family issues. What do you feel about Norah Jones asking father Ravi Shankar for an apology for not being around during her growing years?
Anoushka: The media was waiting to find anything to misrepresent us. All she said in that particular interview was in relation to someone asking her if she wanted him to apologise for not having been around. She said yes, maybe, at one point she may have wanted that. And that got construed into demanding an apology. This is very sad because we don't share a bad relationship with Norah.
