New Delhi: The man responsible for allegedly blackmailing Pandit Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka Shankar has been sent to jail till the October 16.
Junaid Jameel Ahmed Khan, a resident of Mumbai suburb Thane, was arrested by the Delhi police on September 20.
He was held for hacking into the 28-year-old sitar player's email account, copying her personal pictures and then threatening to make the pictures public should she not pay him a ransom of Rs $1 lakh.
Last week, Sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar had complained to the police about the incident and a complaint was registered by the police.
