Anthony has a Day at Sea at Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: Defence Minister A K Anthony arrived at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday for a 'Day at Sea' onboard warships of Indian Navy, comprising both eastern and western fleets, off Visakhapatnam coast. He was accompanied by admiral Nirmal Verma, chief of naval staff and was received on arrival at INS Dega by vice admiral Anil Chopra, flag officer commandinginChief, eastern naval command.Anthony visited the indigenous stealth frigate, INS Shivalik at sea and is scheduled to spend the night onboard the aircraft carrier INS Viraat. He will witness the entire gamut of naval operations including missile and rocket firings, air power demonstration, interceptor missions involving fighter aircraft of the navy and air force and several operations, like underway replenishment, multiship jackstay and combat free fall. He will also interact with navy personnel onboard the fleet ships.
