New Delhi: Music composer Anu Malik is not new to controversy and this time around it's around the soundtrack from his latest release Jaan-e-mann. Malik has been accused of taking credit for the song, Sabko Maloom Hai, which was reportedly not composed by him.
The clash is between Malik and 19-year-old music director G V Prakash who has given the background score for the film. Prakash alleges that the tune for this song is his and not Malik's who it is credited to in the album.
"All the songs in Jaan-e-mann except Humko Maloom Hai have been composed by Anu Malik. Shirish had personally asked me to compose the tune," G V Prakash said.
Malik, however, vehemently denies the charge. He has also slapped a legal notice on Prakash who has another 48 hours to either apologise or prove his allegations right.
"I have given my life for the music of Jaan-e-mann and now people are saying that they are hearing a different Anu Malik with this film," Malik said.
So, who is G V Prakash? Apart from being A R Rahman's nephew, he is also the new kid on the block down South with big names like Shankar Mahadevan and Alka Yagnik singing his tunes.
Prakash has also worked with uncle Rahman on films like Swades, Kisna and Rang de Basanti.
But the big question remains as whose tunes are the stars dancing to in Jaan-e-mann.
