CNN-IBN

Mumbai: The family of Anuj Bidve, the Indian student killed in the UK, has left for London to bring home his body. His father, mother and brother-in-law have gone to bring his body back.

The UK police handed over Anuj Bidve's body to the Indian High Commission on Tuesday evening after a second post mortem was done.

Manchester Police officials had met the Bidve family in Pune on Tuesday.

23-year-old Anuj was shot dead in Manchester on December 26, 2011. One suspect who claimed to be mentally unstable was charged with murder and taken into custody.

It will take two days for the legal procedure to be completed. Bidve's family is expected to fly back to India with Anuj's body by Saturday.
