Mumbai: In an innovative way of film promotion, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is gearing up for his upcoming film 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana', will be serving a chicken recipe at the 'dhabas' across the country. 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' is a story about a Punjabi family, the Khuranas, who run a dhaba and take pride in their food, especially the family recipe Chicken Khurana.
But the patriarch, played by Vinod Nagpal, loses his memory and with that the secret recipe too. The family looks for a copy of the recipe and also tries to cook it in various permutations and combinations to get the exact taste.
Starring Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in the lead, the film is directed by debutant Samir Sharma.
Along with the cast and the director, Anurag Kashyap will travel to various 'dhabas' (roadside eateries) in Mumbai, Delhi and two cities in Punjab Chandigarh and Ludhiana and serve free 'Chicken Khurana', a chicken dish with a secret ingredient created for the film.
"It is a mad, quirky film which revolves around food. Many people will get fed in the process of the promotions. My team and I will personally have to join a gym post its release, which is November 2," Kashyap said in a statement here.
The film is produced by Kashyap and UTV Motion Pictures.
