KOCHI: Actor Mukesh will inaugurate ‘Aortic Summit 2012,’ a national seminar on aortic diseases, to be organised by the Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi on Saturday.
P V Antony, managing director of the hospital, will preside over the inaugural function at IMA Hall at 5 pm. Medical director Dr P V Louis will also speak on the occasion. Patients who have undergone surgery at Medical Trust Hospital will light the lamp at the inauguration.
The seminar will be led by Dr Subhash Chandra from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, Dr Anil Tendolkar, cardiac surgeon Mumbai, Dr S K Nair, professor of cardiology, AIMS and Dr Rahul Seth, interventional cardiologist, Mumbai.
The seminar will deal with aortic diseases, their detection and management. Dr Sajay Kuruttukulam, Dr E V John, Dr Manu R Varma and Dr Harsha Jeevan from Department of Cardiac Sciences, Medical Trust Hospital, handle the aortic diseases and their management.
