Hyderabad: Akash is six years old and he's got just two more months to live. before the incurable cancer in his spine claims his life.

"Akash was born after we prayed to God for seven years. He went through an open heart surgery before this but he was cured. Now, he has cancer. What can we say. God is there. We will do anything he wants us to,” says Akash's mother, Manju.

And what is it that he wants the most? To become a bureaucrat. The Andhra Pradesh government decided to grant him his wish. For one fairy tale day, Akash got to be a District Collector, living his dream. Akash also got to meet superstar Chiranjeevi - an encounter he clearly enjoyed.

Akash's doctors say he is responding well to chemotherapy and radiotherapy but the cancer is still eating away inside and it's only a matter of time before the six year old's body gives in.

Akash is ecstatic but his parents know this story will not have a happy ending.
