Hyderabad: A farmer has been brutally beaten up allegedly by supporters of a minister and policemen in Andhra Pradesh.
The farmer, Appala Naidu, was beaten up by at least five policemen and a few of the minister's supporters on Monday.
The incident happened after the farmer said he wanted to voice his dissent against policies outlined by Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao at a government programme, Rayatu Sadassu.
The policemen and the minister's supporters dragged Appala and kicked him before taking him away from the programme area in Srikakulam district.
