Hyderabad: A 30-year-old Telugu man has become brain dead on diving into a swimming pool and hitting the floor in his apartment complex at Greenville in South Carolina state of the USA. Suresh Medishetty, an IT professional, drowned in the pool on July 17 and was rescued by a neighbour. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors said that his brain had suffered irreparable damage.

It is unclear if it was caused by his drowning or something else made his brain stop working and resulted in his drowning. He is currently in the ICU of St. Francis Hospital in Downtown Greenville. Though the functioning of his brain is limited, his other organs are functioning normally.

Suresh, native of Karimnagar district, knows swimming and swims in the pool regularly. He lives in the US along with his wife and son Atulit (4).
