KURNOOL: An SSC exam invigilator was thrashed for ‘behaving indecently with girl candidates’ here on Saturday.
Parents of the candidates and AISF activists reached the exam centre at St Mary’s School and beat the teacher black and blue. Three girl students complained that the invigilator, Prakash Rao, misbehaved with them while giving additional papers on Friday. One of them, Haseena, a student of St Joseph School in Kurnool, told her parents about the invigilator.
Angered at this, Haseena’s parents, along with AISF leaders and activists reached the exam centre this morning and soon as Prakash Rao, came to the school, they chased him and thrashed him.
St Joseph school correspondent Rojamma too came to the exam centre and hit the invigilator with footwear.
On information, police came to the exam centre and took Prakash Rao into custody.
II Town CI Muralidhar said that they would inquire him basing on a complaint lodged by Haseena’s father.
“He would be arrested if found guilty,” the CI said.The AISF state secretary demanded that the invigilator be suspended immediately.
