New Delhi: The Apple iPhone 5 is expected to be officially available in India by December this year but Apple has not yet announced its release plans or prices for the Indian market. But Indians eager to own the latest smartphone from Apple can purchase it from eBay India, but it is available at a premium.
The iPhone 5 is 16GB is available on eBay India for Rs 59,990, the 32GB model comes for Rs 67,990 and the 64GB version is priced at Rs 76,990.
While the eBay pricing may seem to be a little steep, reports said that some Indian iPhone enthusiasts were willing to pay as much as Rs 1.2 lakh to own the iPhone 5 within days of its initial release.
Earlier this week, Apple said that it had sold more than 5 million units of the iPhone 5 in the three days after it hit stores.
The Apple iPhone 5 is available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK, and was released in 22 more countries on September 28.
