Click to play videoMumbai: Life may not be all song and dance for DJ Aqeel anymore. Aqeel was detained at the Dubai airport on Tuesday for alleged possession of the banned drug ecstasy. But his wife Farah Khan Ali, who's also actor Sanjay Khan's daughter, claims it was only a tiny amount of the drug.
"It was 0.04 grams of ecstasy which doesn't even amount to one dose,” says Farah.
And while the DJ was facing testing times in Dubai, his family at his home in Mumbai was rallying firmly behind him.
The family was still in a state of shock even late at night and his wife believes he was framed.
"I'm sure someone planted the drugs and then called the police,” says Farah.
Aqeel would now be presented before a Dubai court where he would face possession charges.
