AR Rahman to compose for Vasanthbalan's 'Kaavia Thalaivan'

Director Vasanthabalan is all set to start his next venture, titled 'Kaavia Thalaivan'. The bilingual (Tamil-Telugu) will have Siddharth in the lead. And interestingly, Vasanthabalan has managed to rope in Oscar Awardee AR Rahman to compose music for the movie. "An official announcement is expected anytime," say sources.

"The script demands a high budget and also music from a composer like Rahman. So Vasanthabalan decided to have Rahman on board," they add.

A former associate of Shankar, Vasanthabalan has carved a niche for himself in Kollywood with films such as 'Veyyil', 'Angadi Theru' and 'Aravaan'.

Directed by Vasanthabalan, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual will have Siddharth in the lead role.
