New Delhi: The list of Arjuna Awards' nominees has been announced. These awards were instituted in 1961 by the government of India to recognise the achievements of the players in National sports.
The players who made to the list this year are:
- Hockey player Prabhjot Singh and golfer Arjun Atwal are among those recommended for the awards.
- Shooter Avneet Kaur Sidhu, rower Bajrang Lal Thakkar, badminton player Anup Sridhar and judo player K Tombi Devi have also been recommended.
- Boxer Varghese Johnson, Chitra Soman & Harika also made to the list.
