London: Arsenal have signed Spanish attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla from Malaga on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
Cazorla said Tuesday on Arsenal's website that "I'm so excited to be joining one of the greatest teams in Europe and also in the Premier League," and that "their style of play is recognized and admired all over the world."
He has represented Spain 45 times and was a part of the national team during its victorious 2008 and 2012 European Championship campaigns.
