Talwar's bail application had come up for hearing at a special CBI court in Ghaziabad earlier on Wednesday.
After the court extended his custody, Dr Talwar's lawyer asked the court why his client was still an accused? His lawyer also wanted to know what the status of the CBI investigation was so far.
Dr Talwar has been accused by the police of killling his daughter Arushi and their domestic help Hemraj. He has been in police custody since he was arrested on May 23.
