Arushi case: Rajkumar says CBI tortured him

New Delhi: One of the three accused in the Noida Double Murder Case, Rajkumar, has been released from the Dasna jail in Ghaziabad on bail.

Eighteen-year-old Rajkumar was employed as domestic help at the home of the Durranis, friends of murdered teenager Arushi Talwar's parents. The CBI had arrested him on July 27, after finding a bloostained T-shirt that belonged to him.

The CBI had objected to his bail plea in court, saying he might try to escape to Nepal, where he is originally from.

At a press conference soon after his release, Rajkumar accused the CBI of torturing him for over a month while in custody.

"The CBI told me to be a witness. They offered me a flat in Bombay and a modelling job. They asked me to sign a statement that I had seen Krishna and Vijay Mandal kill Arushi. The CBI tortured me, kept me standing all night and hurt my legs. Finally, I agreed. This went on about a month," he stated.

"Inspite of my requesting them to, the CBI never asked me about any missing mobiles or murder weapon, during my two narco tests. They never asked me about any missing mobiles, but kept asking me to become an approver to frame Krishna and Mandal," he said.

He says that he has had enough and that he is going back to his home in Nepal.
